My local post office does photoprinting and they have a scanner...may be worth popping down to your local and see if they have one too
or, if you have an all-in-one printer that does photocopy/scanning as well

Folks are already happy with the results I sent earlier.

But yeh, will try to get it scanned.

If you get it scanned, then apply the sort of AI assisted quality improvements used on this version, it'll look like it was taken yesterday on a half decent digital camera.

Similar to what @roccles did with the old AI intially but I used https://picsart.com/ai-image-enhancer/photo-restoration/ which appears to have enhanced the eyes and mouth the most. Then dropped it into photoshop to clean up the scratches with the spot removal tool. The AI did the heavy lifting with improving the details.
