Can anyone tell me how much this si goign to be and is it better to stick with CS2. I was thinking of buying CS2 as i curently use Photoshop 6 i think?? All i know is that it is old.
Where is the best place to buy photoshop?? NO COMPETITORS - READ THE FAQ

Photoshop CS3 is just around the corner, its already available to CS2 owners as a full enabled Beta.

As for the price... atm CS2 is £560... if you have a licensed version of an older version of Photpshop you could get the Upgrade version for £150...

Im fairly sure there is a limit to how far back you can upgrade from, you would need to check out the Adobe website to see if they allow Photoshop 6->CS2 upgrades.

CS3 is weeks away, so maybe you should wait for that if thinking about buying anyway.

Sorry to Hijack but I believe you have Aperture for Mac looking at your sig bar if you have do you like it compare to Photoshop? As Aperture be cheaper for me and does it do a lot like HDR and add boarders and stuff?

Aperture cannot really be compared to PS tbh, its direct competitor is Adobe Lightroom.

I really do like Aperture though, for me it is the easiest, fastest and most intuitive raw processing package ive used...

Photoshop isnt that good at raw processing, but thats where Lightroom comes in, Lightroom has some really good features which I would like to see Apple add (steal) and stick in Aperture... Luckily ive got both packages. :)

I am trailing Lightroom at the moment and cant seem to like it to be honest. I cant even add a border to my photo on it or anything like that

Am I thick?

As said above Aperture is a different knd of program to photoshop and really cant be compared!

I use aperture on my MBP 17" and G5 PowerMac 2.0Ghz 3GB (should be 4gb RAM tomorrow!) and i love it!

When i first downloaded the trial i was on it all day! I was amazed by the program! The stylish and intuitive design just sells it to me!

Check out some of the Tutorials on Apple before you download the aperture trial! They help a lot and make you think wow!

EDIT: Heres some ace vids!

I don't have a student licence myself, but I believe you get the same box and CD and send of a form with a valid student discount number from a NUS card and they supply you with a serial number.

That's what I did to find out how much a MacBook Pro would cost, doesn't ask for anything else (hoping to buy a MacBook Pro in a couple of months) is it really that easy?

When putting in the college name and city, the small print says...

Ummmm, i asked my parents to put my 18h birthday present money towards a MBP which they still havnt got back to me with a finalized figure that i owe them! (about a grand i owe them which is just sitting in my bank doing nothing!)

So my parents paid for it in there name but put Truro College in the education bit, and got the discount! Im not sure if they followed up as its in my parents name and they live in Portugal. They may of got a form sent to them or a phone call im not sure! Ill ask!

Email sent!

I started my AS levels in 2002 and left in 2005 I'm now in my 2nd year of a Graphic Design Degree at The Arts Institute at Bournemouth.

There was an exhibition in Kenwyn over Christmas for Alumni and I had some work on display. I can't believe how the place has expanded in the two years since I've left!

I don't know how many forumites there are from down our way but we should try and organise a photography meet in the summer or some such. I can't get enough of shooting around Kernow :D

*edit* yup lived in Fowey, 2 hour+ bus journey every morning and afternoon for my first year, then I learnt how to drive and it only took me an hour :)
