Don't the differing boards also have varying degrees of difficulty? In Northern Ireland we sat papers by NICCEA and they seemed a bit tougher than that tbh. It's strange looking back at paper like that after my degree. What was an actual problem at A-Level was merely a tool to solve a real problem at Uni.
