so there is interest in this area of gaming ?

Oh there is definite interest. The implications of more true to life physics and what it can do for both gameplay and simulation even to a medical and science level are phenominal.

But it is, in my opinion, perhaps not as well implimented by the game developing community as it should be. To be blunt the current implimentations of the PhysX API hardly do the hardware justice and it seems neither does the Ageia marketing team.

My opinion would be to hold on to the hardware if only for its UT2007 and Warhammer Online implimentations. There may be more decent games coming along and you may well have gotten your hands on the next big gaming PC addon, but only time will tell.

im gona keep it because ut 07 is one of my fav games and so is warhammer but i hope more games make use of it like this game

I know its just the way you've typed it, but saying UT 2007 is your fav game is pushing it a bit concidering it isn't even out.

Also does "penumbra" make use of the PPU?

all the other uts i loved, no penumbra doesnt use the physx ppu but it is has got amazing engines, like you can shut a door and lock it and the enemy knocks it down.

...so for this game, what exactly would the aegia card do? Twiddle it's thumbs (if it had any)

it doesnt but the physics are amazing and if the physx card can do that with supported games i wouldnt hesitate to buy any game that supports it, i just think you should see it because it is amazing and free aswell

no because the company have only specialized through physics in this game, they only wanted to test what it would be like download it and see what you think

UT2007 will not use the ppu for 'online physics' only for graphical eye candy as there would be far too much physics data to send, evan for broadband to handle.

That is not what I have just come up with, it's what a deve;oper of UT2007 said in an interview.
