What i don't get is why Nvidia are hanging so tightly to Physx. It's now not a major selling fact or it should not be as it's barely used by Nvidia gpu's. If they were to open it up to amd they would most likely have it used in a lot of games but it's still there tech so surely they would perform better in the short term at least. They would still control it and where it goes. There main market is the pc so imo they should be helping this market along with this technology.
Id like to see a game like 'Good old crysis' from 2007, which still doesn't look bad at all now a days, properly use a graphics card to its 100% potential then it would have been amazing if it was properly coded, then for phys-x to make a phys-x card worth while, to take all the physics stress away from the cpu.
Then for amd and NVidia to allow full support of phys-x if its going to help them, but meh, ney its old tech, going no where.
Looks amazing on some old games that properly support it when them phys-x cards came out, but now a days, would just be sitting there gathering dust in the bottom pci slot, would rather stick a Dorito in there, would make a nice smell at the same time![]()
