Hi All.
Does anyone here use a dedicated PhysX card? If so can you do me a favour and let me know how much VRAM is used/required.

Or if anyone knows how much VRAM is recommended for a dedicated PhysX card, i'm looking at 1Gb or 2Gb basically. So any input would be great.

TIA

Last time I looked into it I seem to remember VRAM not being a limiting factor. I nearly pulled the trigger on one of those single slot 640s.

Is this in anticipation of Metro? :D

I want to play through Metro 2033 before Last Light yeah :) plus to make borderlands super smooth when **** gets crazy.
I also still have Batman games to play that i really should start soon :(

It's a toss-up between 650, 650Ti 1Gb and 650Ti 2Gb.

The 650 is fine, but i was thinking the 650Ti would be that little bit better for the future.

256mb is the recommended min - I managed to find a couple of user reviews and using for example a 570 as a dedicated physx card it was only using around 200mb in batman arkham city

This dont work physx high is broken I've tried it at 1080 and 1440 and it just lags even with 2x670's and 1 670 for physx even in tri sli it even worst for metro using a card a physx hardly made any diffrence better off going sli.

I have a GT 640, and for borderlands 2 physx its not a good card. Ive heard some rumors that the 500 series is better for a dedicated physx card. Dunno if its true as i havent been able to test this.

Batman though is good on a gt640 besides the benchmark.

The 6 series would be better really, given the less power and more cores.

I'm going to see if I can get a 650Ti or a second hand 660 and try.
