Pick a car from this list

I don't do the mileahe to justify a diesel and at my age, I still prefer the 3 series over the 5 series. Which leaves options 1 and 2.

My sensible side dictates I would check insurance/mpg/tax and any other potential higher costs involved with the 335. If it was significant, I would pick 1. If not, 2.

If this is general interest and we can **** them off then i will actually, they are all made of aids and belong in M4 corridor business parks along with the other 14 million examples owned through BIK's.

Mercedes make a car in budget with active body control, a 5L V8 engine, and a convertible hardtop and stuff. So i cant pick any of them as they are all pants.

Predictable, yes :p Am i right though, yes :p

None of them : )
Enjoy your kia c'eed

Fox I remember you mentioning that you wern't sure whether the 335i was worth the extra running costs over the 330i as the economy is far better in
the 330i and there isn't a massive difference in preformance.
Sensible choice- 330i Msport
If you have teh monies then 335i Msport :)

If I was upgrading I'd have a BMW 330i M Sport Coupe (E92) and I'll tell you why. The power delivery levels would be ample for a person like me coming from a ten year old Ford Focus. Even if was coming from something reasonable, like an Accord Type R, I'd still think a 272bhp straight six is ample. If the bark matches the bite and it's true that I'll recieve "almost 40mpg combined" then that would seal it. If were to buy this car I'll do so with the intention of owning it for at least 5 - 7 years. In that time I don't want to be faffing around with broken turbochargers, warranty or not. This is why I would rule out an x35i. I don't like an E60 LCI enough to buy one. To me, instead of buying an E60, I'd buy a facelift W211 E350 Sport. In my opinion, I find the W211 more refined. But then that's just me.

Paint finish would be without a doubt Le Mans Blue. My ideal interior trim would be either Coral Red Dakota leather, or individual Rust Brown Merino. Finding these specific trim types, on the second hand market would be difficult, but not impossible. I'm sure there's someone out there who shares my taste.

Ideally I'd prefere this car in a saloon form with an M Sport body kit, and I'd be the happiest person on Earth. But that just isn't the case.

530i innit

As this is a 'general interest' thread though I'd suggest people go out and try the cars themselves. I went to BMW will the full intention of getting an E90/91 without even considering an E60 that much. Then I compared the two and I felt much more comfortable in the E60. It just seemed a better place to be. Also with the amount of baby equipment we seem to have accumulated the size of the saloon boot on the E60 was better than the E90 for me.

This is going to sound picky, but I don't like the backbox on the 330i - they all seem squint and a bit cheap if i am honest.

I prefer the separate twin pipe arrangement with the rear diffuser on the 335s. I think it's an option on the 330 but iirc it was expensive.
