Hi.
Imagine your club had enough money to splash out on anyone one player in the world. And you got to choose him.

Who would you pick? Why? Where would he play?

Just an idea i had whilst bored at work. :p.
 
Ronaldo (gay one) up front with Drogba because he can score goals, create chances and takes decent free kicks plus he's probably the best player in the world at the moment :)
 
Fabregas. Midfielder would make more of a difference than anyone and theres no better all round midfielder in the world at the moment, especially one that has as many years ahead of him.
 
Probably Drogba. Needs to be a powerful player otherwise he'd get kicked to pieces in the BSP and a proven goalscorer is what Exeter lack at the minute. Not sure he'd like the physical side of the game but I reckon he'd cope. Yakubu would be a good alternative.

I would have Joleon Lescott back. Bit of a wolves legend, and a fantastic defender.

Need a good defender to replace the liability Breen. To be honest, any central defender would be nice!

Obviously in dream world it would be someone like Vidic or Terry.
 
Micah Richards , oustanding talent and would eventually replace dare i say the rock that is finnan

oh Hinchy, i agree fabregas is an outstanding player and a joy to watch but he's got a long way to go before hes even close to gerrards value to a team ... in terms of versatility gerrard can play in any postion on the pitch probably even in goal heh

Eto'o or Drogba i guess although Eto'o would be better to partner with RvP. Anyone who will score goals will do really though lol.
 
Fabregas. In the middle of midfield. Partly because Sheffield United's midfield sucks, and Fabregas is such a magnificent player with so many years ahead of him. Will become a footballing legend if he carries on with his rate of improvement.

Gerrard is 28 though? With the style of game he plays its hard to see him maintaining the same level of performance too far into his 30s. Fabregas however has years ahead of him. His style of play could also see him play longer than Gerrard too.

If I had a choice between Gerrard and Fabregas in England's centre mid now then it would be Fabregas. He can completely dictate the pace of the game whereas Gerrard to me seems to require more of a fast paced game around him in order to shine.

I think that's questionable to be honest, Kaka is a better player and a more complete all-round player too. Plus he isn't a lot older.
 
But Kaka is still a young player who hasn't peaked yet, plus he's a proven goalscorer, whereas Fabregas has only just started scoring regularly. Obviously if I wasn't a United fan I'd have Ronaldo :D
