Picked up my new car today!!

Wow, that looks awesome!

I initially wondered why you wanted to get rid of the 3000GT, which is a stunning car, and one I really really want to own, but that looks and sounds so awesome!

So what if the power isn't as usable due to our weather, just listen to the damn thing!

Awesome. It's got a V8, looks butch and manly, sounds incredible, goes well, drinks petrol, and makes people deaf. It's a man's car. Enjoy it! :D

Bumped for Goodness.
Odviously i love these cars. Out an about yesterday and saw two on the road neither was as gorgeous as yours.
Outstanding choice that man.

So Gibbo,

What are your impressions of the beast, given that you've had her for a few days now?

Cheers for all the compliments everyone. :)

At the moment I am taking it easy, afterall engine is running in, getting used to left hand drive and afterall this car is RWD with a live axle. Plus the weather is pretty poor at the moment but overall the car is handling beutiful it been gripping even with all this rain, fair enough I've been navigating roundabouts and most corners slower than I normally would.

The torque is amazing though, even in 4th at 1000rpm you can tickle the throttle a bit and it pulls like a train very strongly. :D

Petrol wise, well it likes the shell garage, onboard computer is saying 12.3MPG which is increasing slowly. Though do remember US gallon is small than the UKS so its closer to 15MPG. When considering the engine is still running in aint so bad. :)

Again thanks for the comments.

Ive just gone all faint.

Dude, that is one of THE most beautiful cars ever IMO, always loved, the new stangs. Knew you considered one but never expected you to get a Saleen version though.

Well I got it for a similar price to a normal one so I jumped at the chance.

I was not supposed to be buying a new car until end of Summer as I've been saving for the past few months but would not have had the funds to buy such a car until later this year, as my idea was to buy a new car with my savings, as I've been living of bread and water saving every penny until the occaison came about and will carry on doing so until later this year, buts its worth it. However this was too hard an offer to miss so I promptly spoke to bank manager who kindly gave me the money. So now all I gotta do sell 3000 GT (Already got a few interested) save a little more and pay it off later this year. :) The bank is gaining about £500 interest out of me which I think is worth it for such a unique car and one which is worth well over 30k normally, well cheapest I found in Autotrader was 32k with 8000 miles and other were 40k+ which will hopefully mean when I come to sell it on in a year or two I might possible make a bit of dosh. :D

Plus if I had waited and missed this I may have ended up with a common Porsche, though saying that I still think I will own a Porsche maybe in a year or two when I can throw more money at one so then I won't end up with something so old that could end up as a money pit. :)

So gonna carry on enjoying the Mustang and no doubt frequent fuel stations on a regular basis though it'll get a rest as off to Hong Kong end of this month and Italy in June. So will be locking the Mustang away and giving it a rest. Gonna get the oil changed in a week from the running in stuff as then I can really open her up to see what she can do though. :D
