Picky ebayers!!!???

so basically i sold my graphics cards on ebay and the customer has received the item however i don't have access to my money due to me being a new ebay user so paypal is holding it until i receive positive feedback or 21 days has passed without a dispute ect. The customer is still yet to leave me feedback because the metal bracket is slightly bent, here is the message he has sent me.

Dear powellyalexpc,

Hi there

Thank you, i received the cards yesterday afternoon, one of them is in mint condition however
the one that came without its box is damaged , the metal bracket used to hold it in place in the case is bent.

There was no mention of this in your description,

and this is the 'bent' graphics card i sold him

i sent him a message explaining why i didn't mention it because it is so minute and does not affect the card in anyway, is it just me or is this just stupid.

i am also outraged that paypal won't give me my money until i receive positive feedback, if he has the cards and is using them why the hell shouldn't i have my money!!!!!!!!! :rolleyes:

Well it won't fit well in the case, and maybe the bracket on the case won't fit around it. Surely visible from the picture on the listing thought, so therefore if you didn't say originally the buyer noticed and is trying you on.

you should have mentioned it in the description that it was damaged. Weather it effects performance or not.

Did you use that picture in the listing? If so could you not aruge you sold it as shown in advertisment?

it fits perfectly in my case and i didn't really take notice of it before thats also why i didn't mention it because i didn't think to.

also no i didn't use that picture as i sold both cards at once so i shown a picture of them both installed in the case

Mention everything especially on ebay, people will try anything to get out of paying.

Simple mentioning and stating it is just cosmetic would be saving you all this trouble.

But everyone has to learned the hard way on ebay/paypal.

So is the buyer disputing the sale? Or just refusing to give you feedback?

The pay pal new account rules are pretty stupid my sister got feedback and they still wouldnt release the money for 15 days, while they "investigated" the sale.

No fortunately the buyer isn't disputing the sale as of yet he just sent me a message and hasn't left any feedback so far

ebqay annoys me the amount of times ive offered a power seller a bank transfer for an item to avoid paypal and ebay all together and they wont do it even on items that are under £10 inc p+p

The picture in your listing doesn't show that bent part. You also state its in perfect condition.

I'd leave you negative feedback unless its an easy fix.

But it was surely listed as "Used - Some wear and tear". This in my opinion covers these types of things. Putting in a graphics card sometimes requires you to bend the metal plate a bit to fit the case - its not damage as such and in no way affects the performance of the card. I would have explained that to him in a civil manner.

Glad you're all sorted though, 'tis a sad sad world we live in.

Would it really have been hard for you to unbend the bracket end? They're not made of Titanium or something, you can bend it back with your fingers unless you're weak like Kwerk or something
