It is a shame about the interface as light leakage really is a bit of a deal-breaker. In lower light it is of course much less of an issue and I guess the weaker seal has the upside of keeping the lenses from steaming up (silver clouds and all that). I do wonder if the poor fit is down to the interface's design itself or simply the result of the limited adjustment range the halo band offers.
It would indeed be good if AMVR were to offer the rear pad as a standalone option. It seems much safer bet and a lower price wouldn't exactly hurt.
