Well I finally washed the car in the daylight and got time to take some pictures!!

The car is a 2006 (06 Reg) 17k mile Alfa GT 1.9 JTDm fitted with 18" inch alloys, tan leather and rear parking senors. All for the tidy sum of £5000 from a very generous uncle!

that can be said about alfa's petrol engines, but their diesels are apparently top notch :)

That is one fantastic buy for £5k :(

i want one :D

The engine is very pokey but it's hard work through the six gears!

For me I drive from J15 to J20 of the M6 every working day so it's nice at cruising!

Gorgeous :D Nice engine, colour and trim combination. I know the beige leather is a bit marmite but I love it.

If he has another for £5k, email in trust ;)

I would say it's tan, not beige, certainly takes a certain something to love it but those seats hold you tight!

very swish!

How manys cows died for that interior?!

Mooo! Only option I wish the car had was heated seats, cold leather is no fun! Doesn't take long to warm up once you're underway but my passat had them before I really like them!

ITS A WINDUP ..i want to see you sat in the car with a copy of todays paper, and a message saying .

I LOVE OCUK WITH TODAYS DATE ON IT.

i think your lying nobody would just give there car away.

Haven't got a copy of todays paper I'm afraid but why would I lie?

I'd like to think that at 32 years of age and having been through 2 big nukes people wouldn't doubt my integrity. I know I've never met any of you in real life but the car is 100% mine and I paid £5000 for it.

warning flying toys...... go on chap rain on his parade and post a pic, then he can shove it

If people are really doubting me then I will post the pictures but it proves nothing if I just have access to the car. If anyone searches for my car selling thread where I was looking for advice on selling my passat you'll notice from the pictures that the car is in the same position as the alfa!

Very nice looking motor, though I'm not a fan of it in red but for £5k?!

Jesus you could run that for a couple of years and lose nothing on it. Fantastic, enjoy every minute of it mate :)

I wasn't a huge fan before the offer of the car came up but having lived with it for nearly two weeks I'm liking it more and more each day!!

It's not an every day run of the mill car, I've seen 1 other since I got this car!

Get your cam/drive belt changed sooner rather than later (you should be ok for another 20k miles or so) 2 close relatives have left it till it "should" be done according to the manual and it snapped a good few thousand miles short of that.

With the mileage I do it'll be serviced every 3-4 months so will get the dealer to keep an eye on it!

Nah, iirc he just bought a new car and offered it to him, for a great price.
Fantastic buy btw :)

Spot on the money, he picked up a new car and as I was looking for a new diesel car between 5 - 7k he offered me the GT at the bottom end of my budget.

I guess the only way he could prove it was his would be a photo of the V5? Then would you accept it was his???

What difference will the V5 make? You don't know my name or address or do you assume if I have access to the V5 then it's mine??
