Next time you're in the store pick it up and have a play about. I actually don't find it overpriced, it feels quality, hand made and has some epic weight to it :)

I have jackets that was £400 RRP but just hate to hand over that much money on a coat i wear only like 4 weeks in the year.

I'm not posting a picture, because the item in question is in the living room and my mum will probably freak out if I tell her I'm taking pics to put on the internet, but I got this delivered a about a week ago:

My mum has several medical conditions that affect her back and legs, among other things, which was only made worse by a recent accident at work caused by employer negligance (long story, shes got a claim in already) She often has problems sleeping cause she is in too much pain laying down. She did get a chair to sit in the living room before, but she couldnt get herself back out of it, so ended up spending all her time at the dining table, with her back to the wall.

This went on for waaaaay too long in my books, so I finally decided to do something about it and got her this. Had to strong arm her into accepting, she wasnt keen on me spending my money on her. But I'd have spent 10 times as much to see her get some comfort in her life. And she does love the chair. She's slept in it a couple of nights already and says its the best sleep she's had in ages. Money well spent! :D

I imagine I'll be wearing mine from November to February/March, do you go abroad over winter?

I have varying degree of coats to suit certain temperature.

This for the deep winter when it is under zero.

I paid £110 for it last Christmas.

This above zero to double digits

This for when it is above 15c ish

And about like 6 other varying jackets and tops to go with them in between :p I have spent a fortune on clothes, £300 isn't a problem but i have always gotten what i want for under that.

I need a new grey wool coat, I have a awesome one atm but its getting a bit tatty.
I hate double breasted jackets and epaulettes though, the latter look particularly stupid. Some nice stuff in Fraser's but too pricey.

No way. Have a look at some of the Canada goose jackets, North face himalayan suit or range from Mountain Hardware

I'm sure there will be hand made fur jackets that are way warmer. Might cost in the region of 1 - 3k but a superdry at £300 is no way the worlds warmest jacket.

I certainly wouldnt trust it if I was going to climb everest

Work deliveries like this make a Friday special.
