More that American and British humour are quite different.

Also when where the michael jackson jokes told? before or after death? as that to would have an effect.

But anyway we are going way off topic, I have purchased PES2012, photos when i get home :D

if its a touch then the Equ app is a must buy. also which headphones do you use? as the E11 will only really shine on headphones worth over £100.

Seriously, what a load of crap, equating the cost of a pair of headphones to it's sound reproduction?

You can buy Skullcandy phones for over £100 but despite the price, they're still ****.

Cheers Mrk!

After seeing your new chair I went straight to staples, sat on him and bought one myself :)

Talked my way into the 50% off aswell as the deal ended the day before.

He was a nice manager :)

After two topic asking what headphones to buy, I went with the SoundMagic E10 :D

Hah that's good going! Did you figure out that the screws were already screwed into the seat or were you like me and spent 15 minutes looking for them in the box multiple times just in case you missed a corner? :p

lol, its obvious decent headphones cost over £100, is the point im getting at, whereas any headphones under £100 it would be better to get the E6.

higher price does not always equal higher quality as can be seen by the beats by dre range. but the e11 is not suited for any headphone under £100 is the point im getting at.

Decent headphons don't have to cost over £100!

My HD595 were under £100, Grado's SR60 are under £100, You can get DT770 Pros for under £100 last time I had a quick browse!

You would be lucky to find 595's for under £100 new.

You can buy plenty of excellent headphones and IEM's for less than £100 that match or even outperform ones at £100+.

The E11 doesn't make the sound any better on my Grado Si125's than it did on the old Sennheiser PMX's I managed to bust.

you do not need an amp for most IEM's, the in built amp of a touch would be sufficient.

the only reason why you should be amping a touch is if you have headphones which require it, therefore using a line out cable to bypass the internal amp first.

the parts inside a touch are of a lot higher quality than what people think they are, but they are suited to IEM's not heaphones. therefore if people use a touch with headphones, its better to get a line out and an amp.

anyway people now suggesting second hand headphones, etc which is stupid, im talking about brand new prices, of course you can get £170 headphones for less than £100 on ebay.

anyway the E11 is better suited towards "decent" headphones which cost over £100 at brand new. is that clear now?

most IEM's should not need amping especially all which are under £100 anyway.

therefore if you own a pair of headphones which cost less than £100 brand new, then your better off with an E6.

so to sum it all up

99% of IEM's = no amp needed
Decent Headphones < £100 = E6
Decent Headphones > £100 = E11

lol :p

Nah I ran my hands down the side of the seat when taking it out the bag and felt them :)

It did take me a bit longer to put together than it should have. That was down to me trying to balance it on my knee and screw it up :)

great pictures just looked at your flickr and see you use a 40D these are very good pics for that camera what lens did you take them with ? Also on your desktop where did you get the tft stand the silver one looks ace

appreciate the feedback as looking to buy a slr and would be made up with these results

My new specs:

Oakley Metal Plate with Zeiss Vision Individual 1.67 lenses

and my new RX sungalsses:

Oakley Splinter with Oakley RX TrueDigital Black Iridium Polarised lenses

They can be very expensive, but I work in optics and get a substantial discount!

Depending on which RI you got for (1.5, 1.6, 1.67, 1.74) the prices for SV range from ~£250-£350 and progressives are £350-£500 and that's just the lenses, frames are extra!

That includes normal AR, UV, Scratch resistant coatings and you can get them tinted or with Transitions for extra.

If you have a straightforward SV prescription then it's probably not worth the extra outlay over another good freeform/dual aspheric lens, but if you have a high astigmatism/prism then they really do excel.

Thanks and I don't want to take the thread off topic much but to quickly answer you question(s), I do indeed use a 40D (5yrs old now!) and that pic was taken with the 10-22mm lens, that cost £680 though but before you faint, you don't have to spend so much £ on a lens to get that kind of look to your images, it's all to do with the lighting so a decent flash gun and technique is where it's at even if your camera and lenses are fairly standard range :)

Are you looking to buy new or used? If used then I can definitely recommend the 40D, it has a huge following and its specs were ahead of its time especially the super fast framerates it can capture :)

The monitor stand is an Ergotron MX, it should be able to take up to 30" screens and mine is 24 but weighs 11KG to give you an idea of weight bearing. I paid about £89 for it but a year or so later it shot up in price!
