To start off with no-one wanted them, as they are quite expensive.

Now he cant get them out fast enough. Amazing tools for many trades.

How much do they cost?

Would be great to show customers how much heat they're losing from their windows. Just better not bring it with me after the windows are fitted :o.

My one is the top of the range basic model if that makes sense. It's the cheapest model but the best spec of that model as there is the i3 and i5 spec whereas mines the i7. It was £1750. There are much better performing models out there but you can pay up to £25k for a professional one.

The windows will always be the weak link in a wall though unless they are super triple glazed low e krypton filled with a ridiculously low u value. They will always show as the cold black area on a wall otherwise, you could show the temperature difference from the temperature readout but a thermal camera probably wouldn't be that useful in that respect. You could always save a fortune and get a laser thermometer though.
 
I've always wanted one of those FLIR gun, just so I can see where the heat spots are in my PC case. Would be an excellent device for use in overclocking and sorting out case airflow.

Well I gotta admit, it arrived yesterday and the difference is amazing.

The build quality is exactly what I would expect (for the money) and it's nice to see it's covered by a 12 year guarantee.

So yea, I consider it a decent investment. :)
