29 course "best of" what was probably the greatest restaurant in the last 20 years that's now closed, the ticket queue became full about 20 seconds after they made them available

Sweet. Did you ever get a chance to go to the real El Bulli?

It's $500 a person, there abouts isn't it? 30 odd courses. Should be amazing!

Not quite that much, I never got the chance to go to the original, but I was planning a trip to NYC & Chicago this easter and when I realised this was going to be on I realised I had to go. Took a lot of effort (keeping an eye on facebook updates and page refreshes) getting it but hopefully should be worth it!

Only thing is I've got Alinea the next night, don't know how I'm going to manage

Ah, that's what confused me. My first thought was the elBulli restaurant but due to it being closed, I couldn't think of what else it could be.
