It's gaming capable, the new Z77 chipset is supported on ITX so you can use most of the top end hardware, this is currently running the latest i7, RAM, SSDs in RAID0 etc. even the shorter GTX670 will fit in this case as well.

I'm much preferring this over the masssive ATX machine I had before! ITX has got to be the future.

Thanks for the info, looks like I might have an itch to upgrade to itx soon.

I'm still using a Shuttle SN25P on a skt 939 AMD setup. Really need to upgrade and have been looking at full ATX systems but I like the smallness of systems like yours. Can you do a full spec list. How much did all that cost too? Does that motherboard have firewire? I need firewire as my external soundcard uses it.

Cheers

Hardware spec is as follows (prices are rough):

Lian Li PC-Q11B - £85
Intel i7 3770S - £230
ASRock Z77E-ITX - £120
Corsair 8Gb Vengeance LP - £40
ATi Radeon HD 7850 2Gb - £185
2x Corsair 60Gb Force GT SSD - £120
Nexus NX-5000 530w PSU - £70
Thermalright AXP-140 RT - £40
Matrix Orbital GX Typhoon Display - £70
Fanmate type fan controller - £3

So £963 all together. The motherboard doesn't have Firewire on the back but I am unsure if there is a header or not.

I'm liking those ITX cases. What would temps be like running the top end hardware?

I'm running an i7 3770S with an AXP-140 with no fan attached to the heat sink itself. I'm using the case's intake fan only which is running at 900RPM, its basically inaudible. I've been keeping a close eye on temps to see if I would need to increase fan speed but the max temp I've seen is 52 when playing Skyrim.

Nothing wrong with blinds in bedrooms/kitchens although in living rooms they can look cheap.

Aye, this is for the bedroom. I've had metal slat blinds for years now and am fed up on hot summer mornings waking up in an oven because they act like radiators powered by the sun.

These block out more light and don't heat up either and are moisture resistant so if I do leave the window open one night then there's not that much to worry about. Neighbour a few doors down has the same blinds and that gave me the idea as his looked rather nice....as do mine too now :p

In the living room they look quite good but only on living rooms made out of 100% Ikea decor! Everything else is wooden slat/drapes :p
