Hello,

I ahve just downloaded and installed Pidgin. I like some of the plugins for it such as Facebook Im and Skype IM. Those should come in handy.

There are a few things I need help with if possible:

1.) How can I make the contacts in my list display by e-mail address?

2.) Can I make the contacts in the buddy list display by email address and nothing else (no personal messages, no icons or anything

3.) Is there a Windows Live MEssenger sound scheme for Pidgin?

4.) Where can I get other skins from for Pidgin?

5.) In a conversation window, how can I get it to just say "Neil says:" or "Mike says:" instead of "Neil isnt feeling well and can't be bothered today:"

6.) How can I make Pidgin go to the system tray when I press the "X" button?

I completely forgot I had already tried pidgin on my netbook a few months ago and discarded it because I couldn;t do number 1.

I don;t suppose there is a plugin allowing that?

Go back to Messenger 8.5 and use the hack I detailed in the other thread?

Hmm, I thouhgt of doing that but I actually like Pidgin now, As i have all my AIM, Skype andFacebook Im contacts all in one window. The only thing needed now is to make MSN users show by email address. Seems like such a simple request but it just must not be

Just downloaded Emesene and it works perfectly for WLM, fast and allows me to use my contact list by email addresses!
