TalkTV's 'Piers Morgan Uncensored" just hit a remarkable 1 million subscribers on YouTube, and of those the majority are in the 25 to 34 year old age bracket with 72% under 44 years old. Love him or hate him that's quite an achievement, and some VERY big names have been happy to feature on his show.

TalkTV enjoys its first anniversary on the 25th April this year.

Piers Morgan said this morning: "I’m absolutely delighted to hit such an amazing milestone so fast. When we launched Piers Morgan Uncensored, I said I wanted it to become the world’s top interview show, watched around the globe on multiple platforms, and this shows we’re well on the way to achieving that goal.

From Presidents Trump and Zelensky to Prime Ministers Sunak and Netanyahu, sporting icons Cristiano Ronaldo, Martina Navratilova, Usain Bolt, Tyson Fury and Mike Tyson, controversial commentators Richard Dawkins, Andrew Tate, Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro, Hollywood legends Mickey Rourke, Joan Collins and Bill Maher, rising political stars like Ron DeSantis, and the planet’s most famous porn star Stormy Daniels, we’ve become the go-to place for the world’s biggest names and newsmakers to speak their minds… uncensored.”

Great...

Are you going to start a new thread for every Youtuber who gets 1 million subscribers?

Only ones I have vetted and decided I like :) I thought it was a magnificent achievement but what mainly caught my eye was the relatively young age of his subscribers. I constantly read that only old people like him and the sorts of guests he has on, and this proves the fallacy of that notion.

Not at all, I just found it remarkable that Morgan had managed such a celebrity / world leader guest list and a million plus followers despite what I had previously often heard, that is he is some sort of media pariah. I don't even watch much of him, maybe four times on YouTube, and I don't even own a television, so I am hardly an ardent fan. I do find him an amusing interviewer and quite a charismatic fellow though.

I think he more fell off than was written off. His last TalkTV show flunked by all accounts.

YT is an easier bet, I often watch things that I wouldn't agree with just to hear what's going on. You never step out of your own chamber and there'll always be an echo. I'm subscribed to lots of random things.

Not a fan of his in the slightest but you can always find common ground somewhere. I agreed with his stance on gun laws for example.

Sure, I may be tiptoeing on one foot on that bit of ground but still.

I am sure we would, in person, have commonality as well as heated disagreements, but thanks for a balanced, erudite and pleasant reply. My respect.

I don't know what to think. Don't care, is probably my opinion. If people don't like it, then move along. Discussing something you don't like seems completely pointless to me. It's a bit like discussing why you don't like chocolate. Who cares? Piers is perfectly entitled to like or dislike whatever he wants, but why anyone cares what his opinion is, is a mystery to me.

"I don't like the trailer at all. Leaves me completely cold."

Verbatim of your post of 6.00 am today about some film called Guardians of the Galaxy ;)

No it's a descriptor, just as in describing someone as black because they have black skin, isn't racist.

It's a term going back hundreds of years to describe the stereotypical red faced, angry, pompus, jingoistic right wing male. It's just now modern right wing males have also turned into the biggest bunch of thin skinned delicate ice crystals, that they now get upset by it and try to cry "racism" <LOL>

Whilst having no issues with being called a "gammon" whatsoever, (or racial slurs in general), could you at least try and get your spelling correct when flinging the insults?

It's pompous, not pompus.

I look forward to his completely honest testimony on phone hacking

I think you just have to accept 99% of journalists and newspaper editors are corrupt and corruptible.

I used to have a car accessory shop on Deansgate in Manchester and a few journalists from the Manchester Evening News and Guardian, (yes, THAT Guardian...), would come in. One day one came in wearing a dark suit and a black tie to tell me that Tom, a regular shopper at the store, had died. He said he was off to the funeral to "screw him into the ground". I must have looked vacant so he helped me out.

"We journalists aren't buried, we're that bent we get screwed into the ground like corkscrews".

I think he was 100% serious :)

Some black people use the N word to address another black person, are they are being racist?

I pondered this for a while and the best description of such a greeting I can come up with is that it's "tribal". They accept it as it's uttered by effectively a tribe member, whilst they would not accept it from the "Whitey Tribe".

Another confirmation that mankind is still strongly tribal in nature.

When a racist person makes thread about their idol, what you expect?

Here's the definition of idol:

1: an object of extreme devotion
a movie idol
also : ideal sense 2

2: a representation or symbol of an object of worship
broadly : a false god

3a: a likeness of something
b obsolete : pretender, impostor

4: a false conception : fallacy

5: a form or appearance visible but without substance
an enchanted phantom, a lifeless idol—
P. B. Shelley

Mr. Morgan is none of those to me, merely an amusing interviewer and writer who surprised me by the size of his audience.

I can think of no living person I might idolise and very few who are dead.

There are a large number of often younger Left supporting people who have no nuance with politics, give them the slightest sniff that a person in the media has shown the merest affinity for something they perceive as leaning to the Right and that person has to be demonised, ostracised, mocked and torn asunder by the pack.

One only has to look in any strongly left leaning forum, for example, the general discussion and politics sub forums of AV Forums to see this in action. Hyenas operate in a more cultured manner if the scent of Right leaning blood is on the wind. The Trump and Musk threads here show somewhat similar tendencies.
