I always thought it was borne in the fleas that were on the rats transported as stowaways on the ships from overseas (awaits grammar beating)

pidgeons are rats with wings... well acctuallly thee twice as scabby and carry 8 MORE deadly deseises than rats, however unlike rats they fly and spread there deadly wares over far greater distances, and in much nastier ways, pidgeons produce dust in there plumage, that contains the nasty viruses etc and with every wing beat scatter it arround, although the chances of catching anything from a pidgeon flyiong over head are miniscule and really not worth discussing, a concentration of pidgeons in one aera i.e feeding on the crumbs in the middle of the high street that dorris has saved all week are quite serious indeed, plus any aera that has roosting pidgeons is definatly best avoided unless you have some seriously good breathing apparatus.

pidgeons are in affect the ****** of the animal world, the scavenge where ever possibile, they are 99% inbread , they live in there own **** and when they get booted out of one site they move on to the next.

Bloody hate pigeons - neighbour below feeds them and they poo everywhere, keep everyone a wake and are general pests.

the best thing to do ...so ive been told.... is to get a loaf of bread and a party pack of alka seltzer.... crush the alka up and make mini doughballs by tearing up a bit of bread minus the crust putting about two tablets worth of powder in the middle and rolling the whole up in a little ball.... one is enough to give the pidgeon serious wind, as birds dont have stomachs as such, if feeding to seagulls three balls have spectacular results......again so i have been told

I thihnk a plastic model of a harrier/falcon would keep the pigeons at bay... ...come to think of it all birds will stay away.

Friends solution to this (& squirrels) is quite a few high-power BB guns, and (as he's only 13/14iirc) quite often instead his dad just blasts them with air rifle!
