Pillars of the Earth

The book is an excellent read and a gem. It had to take someone Ridley Scott like to make a miniseries out of it and I can’t wait to see it. :)
 
I have tried 2 versions of this show so far , both had sync problems (frame judder)

I really want to see this :(
 
Also, did anyone else think that the theme tune has a striking resemblance to the theme tune of Kings which also stars Lovejoy? :)
 
Bumping this because everyone should watch this. Kind of reminded me a bit of game of thrones. Very gripping series, once I watched the first episode I couldn't stop.
 
Just watched the first 3 episodes last night and all I can say is brilliant.

It does seem like a cross between Game of Thrones and The Borgias, but far better than the latter - which I found quite dry.
 
The book by Ken Follet is excellent and I thought the TV series was very good also.

The fictional Cathedral in the book (and you see it at the end of the series) is based on Salisbury Cathedral....which I can see from my house...:)
 
I rather liked this when it was on Channel 4, the episodes were nice and long so you got a big chunk of the story every week :)
