ping router ok, but no internet from adapter

Just got a wireless n adapter and installed the driver for it, rebooted comp etc.

win 7 OS says its connected to my talktalk huawei hg532 router, and I can ping the router.

However I can't bring up the router admin page or any external web page.

I have tried using static IP and dynamic IP but there is no difference.

Anyone got any ideas?

Oh yeah, the adapter works fine on my wife's win XP 32bit machine.

it's fine when I use my old adapter. And dns wouldnt effect the router admin page on lan

the new one is now sometimes showing as no internet available.

I seem to have got it working by changing the security setting from AES to TKIP.

spoke too soon. it only works if you do all of:

adapter: dynamic ip
router: TKIP only
router: mixed mode b/g/n

any alteration and it wont work

Which adapter are we talking about, and what operating system are you using?

TKIP means a speed reduction and mixed mode along with the issues you're describing might mean it reverts to 11g. Not nice either way...
