Hhhhmmm I used to work in a pub in Edinburgh and a few times got asked for a pink panther which was lager, cider and shot of blackcurrent.........never heard of diesel before.

Agreed, although the local cider bar... ye olde cider bar sells a type of cider known as diesel, bright orange, almost red and the most fould tasting cider you'll come across.
