Before anyone says it's my system, it's not :p. My brother while playing Prototype completely locks up with a Pink Screen, sometimes it's brown and sometimes blue. This doesn't come with any writing such as a BSOD but it's a complete screen colour. You can hear the sound buzz like crazy, it also happens in ANNO 2070. Older the game less likely to do it!, it's only started to do this in the last two weeks.

Tried changing drivers e.t.c

GTX 260 - Default Clocks
Q6600 @ 2.8GHZ
8gb Ram
Windows 7
Realtek Onboard Sound
700 Watt Thermal Take Psu Case

43-48C, fan speed is set to 95% while gaming

Cpu Temp is also good!

He Leaves the window open and my mum complains lol

I had a similar problem awhile back on my 5770. Appeared my PSU was on its way out and did not like my graphics card when I played games. Could also be the memory on the graphics card I believe. Have you tried running any bench's on it?

How are you finding Prototype? I had a quick go from steam in a sale and the controls seems weird for keyboard and mouse. Keep meaning to go back and try with my 360 pad.

Wasn't a game for me personally when I played it awhile ago, Brother liked it before it kept on pink screening. :(

Brother tells me he's just played 2hrs of Blue Shift and no pink screens, any games previous 2007 doesn't pink screen

I had this problem a month ago only happened on new games too.

Anyway my gpu temps where fine and cpu temps and my psu was fine.

The problem was that my QPI voltage on my overclock needed increasing it seemed to of changed when i BSOD playing BF3.

So i changed my QPI voltage and havent had a problem since.

If it happens again write down what your BSOD says and then you can look it up and see what the problem that caused the BSOD.
