Pipex & P2P

pipex have been doing this for over a year now. i left feb 2006 when they started throttling.

i went back to my first isp - bt- and while they do throttle during peak times, most of the time i get decent speeds. :)

its the same with nildram, they throttle during the day and in peak times but as soon as offpeak comes i see my download speeds shoot up to 760kb/s where they belong. guess the just want me to download at night eh :)

Makes me laugh. I have a 256k line. Unlimited download. So feasibly could download more than someone on a 8 meg line. I'm still with Poopex cos I cant be bothered moving the line.

I dont have much of a problem with it just means the pc gets left on overnight for a while.

How did you get on?

couldn't get on with the azureus client... i setup a new port foward on my router for it and the client test said all was ok but when i actually set a torrent going i couldnt get a green smiley face by it and i also got a red dot saying nat/firewalled and that it couldnt determine the status therefore no incoming connections etc... tried a few different settings but gave up in the end...
