Arrg, so frustrated with this.
Moving from my flat back home im trying to get the parents pipex connection wireless on my o2 Wireless Box (Thompson speedtouch 780 i believe). Basically I have put in all the settings correctly in the router menu but am not getting a connection. The errors I am getting from the router after the setup wizard are as follows
In the broadband connection menu It says under "Last Error Message - Authentication Failed"
In the actual error log I get this regarding failures
PPP CHAP Recieved challenge (rhost=sfd-1-dsl)
PPP CHAP authentication failed (internet)
and in the “Connectivity Check” section it has a green tick next to DSL (the green light is on the router) but a red cross next to ATM saying “could not send loopback cell” and PPP “your connection is currently down"
The connection works fine using the provided Speedtouch modem which is a usb little thing where you just double click the speedtouch connect icon on the desktop and it connects you automatically using your username and password but this is no use to me because I need to get the connection working on the o2 router for the wireless.
Any ideas ?
