Are any of you Pipex users experiencing painfully slow downloads? It used to be fine but this last few days I'm lucky if I can get over 5k/s. I've tried different torrents, trackers, clients etc and all the same result.

I did a speed test and all is fine though so guessing they are filtering torrents now?

Pipex have been traffic shaping torrents and peer to peer in general for ages now!

Grr maybe time to switch. What does that mean then, basically between certain times most likely peak they chop the torrent speeds down?

Yep exactly that, saves them bandwidth which saves them money!
I have the same problem with BT, during peak time peer to peer goes at around 12k a second and even Http is slowed to below 1mb.

If you do decide to move choose carefully as most isp's do traffic shape!

Go to one of the Enta resellers, no traffic shaping at all on those, and a variety of packages to choose from.

I didn't really mind them traffic shaping torrents and peer to peer, since, well, I don't really use them. What annoyed me was their general slowness for any connection. Had to ditch them last year..
