Piracy and sales

You can still get AAA games even before official release ;)

I see no point of piracy in multiplayer games - but single player?
Can't say I've seen any for a long time, not since PC all but abandoned physical media for distribution. Switch games can usually be found on sites about a week or two before launch as there is still a network of people in the supply chain to dump the physical carts.

You can still get whatever you want these days pirated.

Most people that pirate wouldn't of bought the game anyway so there no loss, and if the game is very good most will buy it anyway.

A good example is The Sims 4, if you wanted all content in this game you would have to spend almost £1000 which is completely unreasonable. It s a pure cash grab and I for one am glad you can get all this content including the online gallery for absolutely nothing.

Although I agree buying the base game should be a worthy purchase for the kids :)

There are a lot of Switch games that get a digital release no need for the carts to be dumped. I dont have one anymore but it was very easy to get them at one point.

Not sure whether its been mentioned but PC Gamer (the one with City Skylines 2) has a very good article by GOG who we know are DRM free and discuss piracy too so its worth a read.

What I meant is that the carts can be dumped before there digital counterparts are even live on the store due to their distribution method.
