Pirate of the burning sea.....

I bought Pirates yesterday and been giving it a go - seems very similar to an MMO Sid Meier's Pirates! with a lot of ship stats ;) It's interesting but too early to tell if I really like it yet.

I'm only playing it as a filler until Age of Conan comes out (gonna be a biggy!!) but as the leader of a WoW raiding guild for 3 years, I can assure you that you only have 2 options once you hit the 70 cap - raid or PvP.

Finding a place in a decent raiding guild is hard, and PvP can be boring/frustrating, so unless you're able to find a raid guild or put up with PvP...not sure it's worth the effort.
 
If you're having trouble with patch download speeds try the new SOE Station Launcher Beta. Since I've been using it any patch downloads (and the checking of files) has been a lot quicker. Used to get 40kb/s max, with the launcher I'm getting around 160kb/s
