Pistonhead's has changed.

They were having some serious problems last night but I do think it will be a big improvement once they iron out the bugs.

The only filtering system and method of searching was crap.

I was wondering what was going on last night

once they fix all the problems they should look to go for an app on the apple range of products.
:)

got to say though the auto trader app is fantastic

Oh lordie. I emailed a seller from my iphone. Just recived 5 confimation emails. I think my email has spammed the seller lol

Terrible. I can't get any filter options to ever return more than 7 cars, and then it throws up script errors. Add to that the utterly retarded slow performance, and the fact that it's now harder to browse (freely, as opposed to searching for something finite), I hate it.

Fail.

Hilarious!

I would love to know which company they paid to make the new site, and why they pushed it out in such a shambolic state!

If you look at the public stats, there is serious money involved:

Number of Adverts on PH
108,048

Adverts on PH are just £9.99
Trade Ads cost just £17+VAT

Let's say they make £12 per advert on average that's over £1,000,000 of revenue from the current adverts online. I wonder if they actually hired a web team, or just outsourced it to India. Anyone know ?

I contacted them regarding their load testing as it clearly wasn't performed properly, or again outsourced.

By the looks of it, load testing wasn't their biggest problem. The site was slow even at 2-4am in the morning, I tested it a few times. The problems must have be even more fundamental! Add to that the fact that the basic site functions were not working means they probably didn't even do any basic testing of their site, let alone the kind of tests that you'd expect from a multi million pound venture!

Yeh that's true, unless the volume of traffic from the day/evening had a knock on effect?
