I'm thinking of getting one tomorrow. Strangely no thread in this sub so thought I would create one!

Has anyone got one of these? I am seeing it is £360 at the Three store which seems like a bargain compared to the official 449 in most other places.

Any opinions about the phone or indeed buying it offline from Three? The phone costs 509Euros in Spain, so this seems like a bargain to me! I literally have to decide by tomorrow morning!

thanks in advance

Quick follow up. Purchased the Pixel 7a in the end for £370. Only used it for a bit, but in essence it's more or less the same experience as my 3a, with a few extra features I will use, a few I won't and in general just much, much faster!

Mission Accomplished.

7a looks incredible for what you get. But with the 7 being so close it's worth the bump up to that.

But like OP said, when the 7a is on a price discount, it makes it a no brainer.

And with the £360 Three deal you have to take out a SIM contract too - you can't just buy the phone on its own (I think).

The recent deals that have been mentioned have sparked my interest in the Pixel 7a. I've currently got a Moto G7 Power, which has been excellent. The main reasons I'm looking to change are to get NFC for contactless payments and to a lesser extent a better camera (as well as ongoing security updates). I'm on an O2 monthly SIM only contract with 15GB data at about £17 a month.

The Pixel 7a 'phone only' purchase price seems a bit steep at the mo at £449 - approx £350 is what I'd be OK with.

But there are contract deals for the 7a which seem OK compared to what I'm paying for SIM only. I'm happy with a 24 month contract (on past experience I only change my phone as needed every 3-5 years). I'd like a decent amount of data, but nothing unlimited. I'm also happy to pay a bit upfront for the phone.

The MoneySavingExpert Cheap Mobile Phone finder identifies some decent deals for the 7a, though they seem to be via Fonehouse or Metrofone which are suppliers I've never heard of before, and I'm a bit dubious about. I'd also need to be confident about the mobile networks they are on.

But to get an NFC phone that's an improvement over the Moto G7, are there any Pixel 7a contract deals out there that could be recommended?

Hot UK deals is the best place to keep your eye on.

Pixel 7 at near £400 is a great buy. 90hz screen, better cameras/video, slimmer bezels and a more premium feel.

I'm struggling to pick between the 7a and 7.

The larger display and nicer finish of the 7 doesn't matter to me (I prefer a smaller screen and I keep it in a case).

Camera is the main selling point to me, but I don't think there's a great deal of difference between the two is there?

The 90hz screen on the 7 is appreciably better, 60hz makes the 7a feel slow.
