pizza for tea question

Get it delivered, you can probably get a discount code from somewhere to make it cheaper than if you walked to boot!

Totally agree that they are overpriced.
But I'd disagree with you on local pizza places being better, I'd say it's the minority that are much better.

Infact, I remember once going to a local non-chain pizza place once, ordered one which had mushrooms on. The pizza I received was covered in tinned mushrooms! urgh!

Then another place delivered a pizza which had a mouldy base to it! We called up to complain about it, and despite them taking 45 minutes to deliver, they turned up within 5 minutes, asking for the pizza back and they would give us the money back and anything else we wanted..... dodgy!

Then there was another local pizza place I rang up where the guy who answered the phone wasn't speaking very good English and I couldn't understand a word he was saying... he finally put the manager on who basically explained they had no pizza dough, so couldn't make any!

The big chains may be expensive, but at least you know what you are getting.
