Yes and no. It can be a pain, but a) the seperate manual helps and b) people like me are happy to help.

I heard some 9/11 terrorists used to fly planes into the pentagon and WTC on previous versions with the proper joy sticks...wtf

It's possible, but you lose the ability to tweak. Remember that a key is on/off, whereas a joystick covers 0% - 100%.

indeed... I downloaded the demo and it was the most confusing thing ever. If they want me to buy it they should at least include a few of the tutorial missions. The introduction just tells you how to steer

Seems like the demo is aimed more at the people who know how to fly already. I however have no idea how to land on the aircraft carrierr, how to reduce velocity to 180 (or at least tell when I am at that velocity) or how to tell what my altitude is... lol.

I did figure out the joystick setup now, But IMO its looks alittle boring, BTW it was the demo as i could only fly that crappy SU-30 or something.

If you like WW2 then get IL2 Complete Edition - £9.99 in the large PC retailer at the moment - it's the best WW2 era flight sim around and a steal at that price.

I'll have to have a look at the demo tonight. Is it pretty much a tutorial? The full game only really gets exciting if you know what you are doing.
