No idea if anyone is interested in this, but the Gibberlings 3 have released a beta widescreen mod for Planescape Torment, get it here:

http://www.gibberlings3.net/widescreen/

It's not zoomed or stretched or anything funky (well, some menus are out of whack but the game interface is fine), and mine is running successfully at 1280x800.

I have to say the graphics appear so much better when you see so much of the game world. I'm really impressed.

Got mine working with 4CD version officially patched to 1.1. Also added the Unofficial Fix pack, and looks good. This is a game I've never played much of before, so I'm really looking forward to playing it through.

P.S, this also works for BG2 and some other Infinity engine games.

Warning, not stable in 'small' areas:

Nice link and one of the best games ever.

When you play it, make sure you dig up the method of copying all the CDs to your HDD or the loading times/disc swapping can get a little annoying at some points. If you've not already done it of course.

Last time I went to reinstall Planescape, I found one of the discs was missing :(

Do you think you could post a screen short of BGII or something. This could tempt me to revist although I would have to learn the 2nd edition rules again.

I'll try to post screenies of BG2 at the weekend, this is another I never finished (kind of run out of steam in BG1!). BG2 did have unofficial support for resolutions up to 1600x1200 so this mod isn't maybe as important for BG2 than for PS:T.

You can choose your resolution too I think, so if you just want mega 4:3 resolutions it should still work.

Sorry, it's been resized. I can post the orig if youlike, not that there's a lot of fidelity! It's at 1680x1050 originally.

That looks pretty good. I just dont know if I can remember the 2nd editions rules otherwise I would be very tempted to this again.

The is brilliant news. Best game ever. I'lll have to pull out my cds and reinstall at some point. As for getting it these days, I'm not sure it was ever released as a budget box? Might be a bit hard to get TBH. I seem to remember the original boxed version going for upwards of 60 quid on the bay. o.O I ain't parting with mine any time soon. :D
