Planet Crafter

I wish I could find some explosive powder!
Enjoying it though, wasn't sure about the dlc but picked up the bade game. It's quite relaxing but I just wish it had a few more bells and whistles graphically speaking

You should be able to make it pretty early in the game.

yer a lot of people dont like the DLCs that much. especally the toxic one.
The first DLC was basically just "more Planet Crafter" but looking slightly different. When it released it had a 10 or 15% discount, and I think it was worth it, if you were really in to the game.
I've seen some positives and negatives for the Toxic one, but think I will pick it up at some point this year. Even just to support the game. I'd be happy to see them do more with the franchise tbh.

I keep meaning to give this another go. I picked it up a year ago, played for a few hours - then realised my base was going to get flooded and I couldn't be bothered moving it all up the hill, and that was the end of that adventure :D

Yeah tbf that kinda sucked

I see from a recent post by the devs that their main focus for the first few months of 2026 is to "release a quality of life and improvements update", so I think that'll be my time to dive back in. Perhaps it'll include a simple sign in the starter area that says "Build your base up the hill to ease future pain and suffering"

It's quite addictive actually.

I had it on my list for ages got it in the steam sale. I knew about moving the base up hill, although I relocated before it flooded, it took me a few hours to "move house", which was frustrating, better than it getting flooded I guess...

Not sure why they decided to do that as one of the posts above I guess it probably put a lot of people off. Id have been ****** off as well and I don't feel it spoiled anything knowing about it.

Yeah, that almost caught me out as I played Planet Crafter blind and had an “Oh poop!” moment when brain figured out just how high that water was going to rise.

I don’t think investing a lot of effort into your first base in any game like this ever has been a good idea.
The default pace of the game isn’t great, I ended up completely skipping over some tech upgrades, might tweak the settings if I play it again to slow it down.

I've really enjoyed this game so far. Just about to get to insects stage.

The gameplay loop is fun and relaxed. I'm playing it co-op with my 8 year old and he's had an absoloute blast. Helps there are no scary animals or jump scares.

Hoping it preps him for Satisfactory :D

Toxicity DLC has been great so far, but I've sort of plateaued. Need to find way more materials for the higher end buildings, as well as a lot more uncommon larvae.
If they were to have a Planet Crafter 2 or future DLCs, I'd really love to have ability to repair existing infrastructure.
