Open mould is fine, it just means it's a bit more generic than some fancy proprietary frame. Does that matter for most people? Probably not.

And yes. It is a good price for DA.

I've had my Planet-X since March 2009 - still love it. Had a few upgrades, still want some new wheels though need to move house and buy more furniture first!

Are Planet X carbon bikes a yay or neigh, they seem like bang for your buck?

I rate them - I ordered an RT-90 frame which is their version of the FM-066 frame (has the product code stamped on the fork). I assume they have a supplier in China who sources the frames, QC's (maybe?), sprays their logos and ships to the UK.

I got mine in the sale with an addition 25% off for £450 - about the same as Chinese sellers are offering but without needing to hassle with import / customs, delivery from China and having some semblance of a warranty (perhaps - who knows if these things ever get honored) having bought from a UK seller.

I'm not sure I'd buy the full RT-80 with dura ace - you can get the frame then spend 1k on ultegra and a decent set of wheels which I think would be better bang for buck.
