Planetside finally gets a server merge!

I've just treated the last month as an unexpected chance to say goodbye to a game that was (and still is) years ahead of its time. Never thought I'd get to see Werner come close to the old glory days, so it was a fun month

has anyone tried it tonight? my launcher says my sub is up (after the free time) and it was supposed to have ended but it hadn't...

now i've said it I won't be able to play it anymore

Totally disagree, it was awesome last night. Like PS of old with the increased number of players. Ping was 108-124 with 0 loss and didn't feel particularly laggier than werner. Huge portion of the players were wernerites so a lot of familiar names. Squad list was heaving. Can't remeber the last time I saw a pop lock.

Ass hat players? No more than usual, outfit only squad helps with that. Couple of CR5 tards but it's easy to see who to ignore. Hacks? As always in PS there are "WHAT THE...???" moments but again they weren't any more frequent than werner.

They've screwed up the lasher and it will probably take 6 months to fix it but I don't care because I'm completely apathetic toward the development of the game. If I resub then it would be because I want to play, not expecting development as SOE put the game out of pasture long ago.

The merge was a good move. PS is the best it has been in years.

maybe it was where I way playing but the lag was WAY worse. the local was terrible and the CR5s where 90% asshats. I was in a outfit squad but there where lots of other asshats around to mess things up

I just checked. The 1-month recurring sub is £7.49 or around $12.21 so not as much as people are saying.

Yeah I resubbed, giving it a go for a month. Lasher has apparently been improved slightly but I had already respecced and haven't switched back to check. Just seeing how it goes for the time being as not really into the other MMOs atm and I really would like to get CR5 on at least one character. VS has been hit pretty hard of late but last couple of days seems to have been a bit more positive. And the price isn't too bad so it will do for now........there is after all nothing out there quite like PS.

They seem to have nerfed lasher agian... can remember playing before merge and doing pretty well when compared to mcg / jh ..... but not now i stuck lasher into back of a nc shot him lots with it and he just turned around and 3shot me before i could take him down

Sorry you misunderstand me. They nerfed it big time at the merger but some people are saying it has now improved slightly from that major nerf.

Don't bother until they patch it again. It's still as broken as ever in large fights ( involving more than, say, 20 people). Only point in having HA on VS atm is to scavenge the JH / Mcg's around.

Yer I have left HA for now and had surprising effectiveness with the pulsar last night which is kinda weird.
