Thanks to james.miller, can someone explain how this is done. I would prefer a fuller lighting rather than the three areas but any pointers would be great. Ta.
go to avforums, search for the big thread on the apollo lighting kit and buy. if you want more light, buy longer tubes, not the silly small tubes like i first got by mistake
that kit does practically any colour you could want by the way - you can alter the RGB levels seperately.
ive not actually set them up yet so no, i dont have any photos but i can assure you they dont distract at all. actually its totally the opposite - the backlight behind the edge of the screen fools your brain and makes the screen appear to have a better contrast and better black performance. it actually does work, blacks look blacker especially on an lcd. plus it looks great lol. i realy use many of those colours, i nearly always leave it on blue as that seems to work best for me
I just put a my table lamp behind my TV. Helps with contrast I find, plus it can't cause glare on the screen like it used to if it's behind it! That kit does look nice though.
