Plastic storage boxes

Surely you could have just typed 'plastic storage boxes' into google and then had a look until you found your "proper dedicated places"?

There's many.

Really Useful Boxes, there is a company that does seconds somewhere. They have funky colours, but are well worth it and are much sturdier than any other I have used.

+1 for these boxes. I've used the larger sizes for moving house & 6yrs on they are still in perfect condition. The little boxes are great too.

Staples used to sell them, not sure if they still do as I've not lived in the UK for over 3 years. :)

+1 - regularly appear on ebay in lots of say 10 or 20. Probably the only boxes that work well outside in sheds and things, as their clip lids are airtight, or as near as.

Get some RUBs (really useful boxes); thick boxes with locks that can stack and come in all shapes and sizes. They're very popular among reptile enthusiasts as you can keep snakes and what not in them.

Probably find them at DIY stores.

Really Useful boxes are the best in class, you can get them from Stables, HobbyCraft, their own online store.

Come in lots of colours, sizes etc

Wide range of them at both B&Q and Homebase.

Best time of year to get them is now. Both stores should've cleared their Xmas stock & filled their seasonal areas with them for a few weeks until they replace it all with the spring stock of outdoor furniture/BBQ's/lawnmowers etc.

This thread was bought to you today by the letters B and Q, and the Really Useful Box company of Great Britain....;)

I went looking for some empty plastic boxes this afternoon and the shops I went to were charging about £3.50ea for them
I needed about 6 of them and there was no way I was going pay £21 for just 6 small empty plastic boxes

The ones I was looking at were about the same size & shape as them 1.5L to 2L ice cream tubs
It would have cost me less to of bought 6 tubs of ice cream :p

Really Useful Box +1, got about 20 of the 64L ones.

Staples is a good place if you want a shop rather than order on line as shipping costs can be high for these.

Sometimes they have deals if you buy 2.

At the moment it's 5 or more at £9.98 each.

If you want cheaper ones Larger Tesco stores sometimes have half decent cheaper options.
