I like specs on this hmd, the mixed reality should be very good would love to see my app in 4K OLED. Afaik the kickstarter price was $1000, it's now listed for £1500 on their website. With import duty and VAT it'd be well over £2000 landed here in the UK, can't afford that unfortunately.
 
Well guys, Virtual Desktop has now just been released for the P4D! This will mean:

-WAY better wireless streaming capability
-The ability to play Quest LINKPC games
-That this is basically the best PCVR wireless headset in terms of visuals thanks to the OLED screens and PPD.

I am very close to ordering one.
 
Ordered one a couple days ago just hope it actually arrives. Only found out after there are people still waiting weeks for it to be shipped despite store saying in stock.

Looking to replace my Quest Pro, screen door effect is the biggest problem I currently have so these new screens should be a pleasant upgrade.

Just checked their website. The prices exclude Customs and Taxes. So will you be charged 20% more when it arrives in the UK?
 
Bit hit and miss, 1k gym equipment from China was only 4%, and a £350 pc case was £0 from Fedex last year.

Originally had the Pimax Dream preordered but not happy with how they handled it so far. Their prototype shows the May deadline was never realistic, feels like they mislead consumers to stop them ordering the MeganeX and P4d.

Pimax ALWAYS misstate their expected shipping dates in order to secure early pre-orders away from the competition and for funding purposes. They are not and have never been a very ethical company.

Plus, their inside out tracking kind of sucks and in addition to their general quality control issues then that is a big red flag for me for the Dream Air.

Well, I hope you get lucky. It would be a shame to get lucky with a £350 purchase and get burned with a £1500 one :(

Tyriel released this video after about a VERY short time playing with VD, I saw him on the P4D discord asking questions.

I hope the VD developers increase the resolution.

I'm jealous of those u ordering 1 of these, if I could guarantee I wouldn't get import tax + duty on importing 1 I'd get 1 but can't take a chance on it.

I just keep thinking I wonder when or if these will be around £1000 if and when they become available second hand. Quest 4 rumoured to be due next year which will probably have a better processor, the visuals won't be anywhere near this though most likely.

You'll probably be looking at a couple of years before they are 1,000 and maybe a year or so before they are available on the used market.
