play iso file on ipad - how?

Hi guys

How to play dvd ISO on iPad? I can't convert the dvd to mp4 or other format cos the dvd is interactive dvd so need keep the iso

i dont have an ipad, it is for someone at work.

apple is very strict with what format to play on apple products hence i started this thread. i need to know if VLC or any apps will play ISO file

another question - which app to open pdf file?

I have a iso on pc. I'll see if it syncs (video)

it wont sync as standard

but you should be able to install VLC and then in the apps section of itunes go to vlc and 'sync files with this app'

The files I’ve added don’t show up!

For now, VLC recognizes a limited set of extensions – namely .avi, .mkv, .ts, .mov, .mp4, and .m4v. The next version of VLC will support many more. In the meantime, you can try renaming your files to match one of those extensions.

CineXplayer I'm sure doesn't do it.

Can android even do it :S?

itune? why need itune? cant you copy the iso over to ipad and tell vlc to play this iso locally?

There's no file access outside of itunes.

Cinexplayer doesn't work. I'm not going to bother downloading VLC again as I really can't see it working.

Its far to complex. Couldn't you just use a DVD to mp4 converter? Just mount the .iso and then should be able to use a converter

I have that -- currently free

the problem is the DVD is interactive DVD, not a movie/film, so MP4 wouldnt be right
