Played way to much

Back before I had to work for a living I played insane amounts of BF1942 (EoD mod was the badgers nadgers, way better than DC). I've played 24hr+ sessions quite a few times. It's really weird playing with people, seeing them log to go to bed and then seeing them come back on the same day and you're still on.

At the moment my guilty pleasure is X3:Terran Conflict. I've played that way too much lately. To any other X3 lovers, don't you agree that real life needs SETA?

Iv'e actually booked off the 28th Oct for a BF3 session, starting at midnight all the way through till morning.

im gonna order a dominoes and get some fizzy drinks and sweets to keep me going.

I'd have to say FO3 as well.....

I'd never played a game of that style before.... and it became so easy to lose 3hrs at what seemed like a glance at the Pipboy.

Minecraft. "i will just play for 10 minutes, just collect some wood" 8 hours and 2 new houses later. "done"

This!! First time playing MC, building a little hovel into the side of the mountain to escape the zombies, spiders and creepers. Then had the courage to venture outside and gaze at the wilderness from the top of the mountain, before building a Mines of Moria type collery inside the mountain for the first time. Then going to bed and dream of hitting blocks and searching for iron ore all night. Also scared the missus when I make "Ssssssss" noises in the middle of the night!!

I just can't do the long hours anymore. When we have gaming sessions now I have to call it a night at 2300 and get up earlier in the morning and carry on. No more 48Hr marathons. So so sad. :(

Few weeks ago I spent like 10 hours straight on Minecraft, longest I've done in a game for ages. Next morning felt nautious and really dizzy like I'd been on the drink heavily the night before. So no more of that :P getting old!

When I was younger, I'd play RS non-stop for hours on end... Probably hitting about 16 hours a day, 7 days a week over Holiday... Never felt ill from it... Felt awful after the one one-nighter I did playing it once....

I was an old CS Beta & TFC player...hours I put into that cost me some A-levels and 1 year of my life resitting them :D

I played GTA Vice City for far too long.
After a particularly long session playing it, I went out and saw a dune buggy driving along the road towards me, very similar to the one in the game, and my first reaction was to reach out & hit 'F' on the keyboard to steal it.:o
The 'wtf is wrong with you?' glare I got from my two mates just killed me....

Rts games always get me. I go to bed planning what I'd have done to combat certain attacks that beat me, even when I just desperately wanted to sleep. These days its just a few hours of bf/bc, although shogun 2 had me doing 4hr+ sessions for a while. Many arguments from the gf when I hadn't tidied the house on my day off.

Played carmageddon for ~11 hrs straight to complete it a long time ago. Eve was another I'd play a lot, particularly weekends going to bed about 2/3am setting my alarm for 7 and continuing...

Agree with a few other posters about not being able to do it anymore! Although, I can still sit for about 6 hours on Sundays and play Fallout or Minecraft.

A few CM sessions probably lasted around 15hrs, I've also stayed up all night playing Quakeworld on too many occasions to count, sometimes it was that intense that I could literally feel the sweat dripping down from my armpit lol :)

Went 52 hours without sleep at a QW LAN once many years ago but I wasn't playing solidly the whole time.

Had some insane Cthun raids back in the day, 12 hours plus. The game got easier after that luckily and the last time i played serious i did 6 raids a week 4 hours each.

The longest stint I ever did was on an old web browser game called planetarion. The game was real time and I was a guild leader under sustained attacks all over the clock for about a week. When it started i did not sleep for around 48 hours, and slept on and off for 2 hours at a time in-between my mobile going off to advise of new attacks for the next few days.

Thankfully i took a reality check shortly after this and quit the game. Since I quit wow after my guild got Lich King Heroic I have banned myself from ever playing a game that has some kind of time obligation. Though i still game too much it is just single player games or mindless online FPS games, which i can (theoretically) put down whenever I want.

Back this time last year when I was unemployed I'd typically spend 10 hours a day on Minecraft. Followed by two hours trying to get to sleep with Minecraft blocks forming things in my imagination.

Never again.
