Playing a video from a website : How?

I want to have a vid clip play directly from a website. Previously if I wanted to do this I just took the easy option and uploaded it to Youtube then embedded the thing with the links but this time I want to try actually playing it directly from the website in question.

How do I go about this?. Quick and easy method?.

1) Encode your video to FLV or MP4 H.264, personally I use "Any Video Converter".
2) Upload said file to site.
3) Use JW FLV Player on your site to play it.

I enjoy hosting videos myself, gives me a lot more control over the quality and most importantly length of the videos I post, not to mention the look of the player. If you need any examples in the flesh check out the site in my sig it's full of videos.

JW FLV (or Longtail as it's now called) is so simple - beats the hell out of websites that just have embedded YouTube videos, which you so often see even on corporate websites.
