before i switched to windows 10 from 7 i played games on my main screen and watched tube or a movie on my 2nd monitor now no matter what player i use the movie or website for tube turns into a laggy mess :( if anyones got any info i would be very grateful please!

Probably a bit extreme but I went to using 2 PC's and input director. Firefox linked to same account can just right click and send to second PC (Actually originally did it as could then compile on second PC and have a quick game; but was one of the benfits after could do anything while having a game).

Originally used one of the lenovo tiny PC's (I3 4130T, 8 gb, 256gb SSD) was only about £50 then swapped to a dual xeon @ about £300 so my compiling about as quick as main PC (2 x2683v3, 64gb, 256gb nvme + 2tb SSD, K620. Main machine 5900x) but for vidoes the i3 was absolutly fine. Having 28 cores can do just about anything else while compiling and it runs fine. Can also swap around and have football manager etc on second machine while working on main.

(Use scream audio to get audio over network between the 2 machines)

OP are you playing your games in borderless windowed mode, or dedicated fullscreen? Try switching to borderless windowed and see if it still lags.

Hardware acceleration in browser, if you're leaving your gpu in a game it'll be struggling to do decoding at the same time, so turn it off and let the cpu do it. Or turn it on if its off already and the cpu is struggling

Could be a priority issue i.e. game is high priority and video is low. But 10 is simply more demanding on hardware I noticed a noticeable drop in performance when I was forced off 7 onto 10. So you're forced to buy new hardware to keep up. Until microsoft forces another upgrade on you. Its how they make money when the market is already saturated you resort to planned obsolescence.
