Playing music from an iPod in Windows

Does anyone know of any software that can read the library on an iPod and allow me to play music from it when its connected to a PC?

What he said. Although the ml_iPod plugin is essentially useless now as Winamp comes with its own iPod plugin that is enough for me and will certainly play music off an iPod.

The ml_iPod project is still active but the author of it has given his code to Winamp so they can supply a basic but featured version of it themselves and an extra features version comes later on.

Cool I'll give it a go, don't think iTunes will work though as it's never been sync'd with iTunes - besides it's complete tripe

It won't work in the proposed way at all. Sync'd or not.

iirc it wont play through the computer with itunes, i THINK you can start the playback of music but youll only hear it through the ipod.

I've found iTunes to be slow... thats why I prefer Winamp
