Playing the Wow trail. Engineering help O.o

I'll have to replace engineering or mining. Will I lose all the points I've earned from them skills if I remove one of them?
cooking is a secondary prof (like first aid or fishing) so you dont have t remove it

seems so your only geting started you can level your fishing skill with cooking pretty nicely

In the early stages of the game I've always got 2 gathering professions (skinning and mining). That way you make stacks of cash quickly and easily and can ditch them later when you've hit the level cap and want to try a crafting one.

same thing i have done with every new char :)

but dont get herbalist and mining together, you cant track the two at the same time :)

mining/skinning or herbs/skinning works well :)

I read that to start off you need to make Rough Blasting Powder but I've been to a couple of engineering trainers and non will teach me how to create it. It's driving me crazy.

Help me please.

When you first take on a profession they give you a handful of recipes to start making, in this case you should already have rough blasting powder.

If you're just starting out in your adventures in the World of Warcraft i'd advise against taking a crafting profession, ( a profession where you make items, as apposed to gathering professions, where you just gather ) I'd advise you to take skinning (buy yourself a skinning knife) because as you quest you will always be killing enemies that can be skinned.

Maybe take flower picking, or mining both seem to be in great demand.

You can take up three secondary professions, first aid, cooking, fishing, take all three. Every 10 levels or so spend time trying to level these (except first aid which you will level as soon as you find cloth)
