PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

I still think people's expectations are just crazy high. Resolution means nothing if the developers put crappy textures in the game, as said before for a £350 device it offers a very good level of graphics, physics HDR etc.

Developers should be held responsible and should focus better. FPS should always focus on high fps of graphics, 3rd person the opposite etc etc.

Just enjoy the games that come out! Not a fanboy for Sony but they have done a good job for the Price. If Xbone is mentioned saying it's going to blow up the PS4 Pro, great it probably will spec wise but games not a chance. First party games on that console are shocking!!!

PS4 Pro £299 @Very - using Buy Now Pay Later (free delivery to a Collect+ shop)

You get £50 credited off the owed amount on 1/2/17 then simply bay the balance off with a year of purchase.

Still a good deal but it was £70 just the other week, 20% refund when bought with same credit option.

I haven't opened mine yet as not sure whether it was worth it given how little I have touched my PS4 this year but the deal seemed too good to pass up.

I disagree with the use of the word "slightly."

It could be 100x faster but if developers don't make use of the extra power then it's a low value upgrade. Most people can't even tell the difference on the screen side by side using a game which is PS4 Pro enabled :p

I'm considering moving over to the PS4 after being an Xbox owner for the past 10 years, i actually have a PS4 which is in my lounge, my friends all have PS4's so it makes sense. I'd give the PS4 to my other half as she's got an Xbox currently and buy a Pro. Not really wanting to upgrade my TV and I have two 32" 1080p's on my desk so can't really go 4K anyway. Good idea??

It's early days for it yet, it'll take time for the benefits to be clearer. Last Guardian is a good example.

This. These idiots in the video don't realise that once Devs get to grips with it more and start actually building games for it from scratch, it will start to pull away from the standard PS4.

Next year will see the true power of it start to be unleashed.

I think that's not what will happen, why would it? the ps4 has the bigger playerbase, the devs are hardly going to create a game with higher textures and lighting effects etc for say 15% of the playerbase and then create a toned down version for the other 85% on the other platforms. Think it would continue as it is now, higher res and higher textures if it's also being developed for pc. The cpu holds it back and doesn't really let it make gameplay changes.

they could just do 1080 res and go crazy with all the visual effect but why spend all the extra time stripping it all out of the game and replacing them with worse effects for the majority? just doesn't make good business sense. just upping the res and using any higher textures does. upping the lighting/shadow effects is exactly what has caused fps drops in the last guardian when compared to a regular ps4 and think it was the same for finalfantasy and last of us as well.

I have a 1080p TV and noticed a difference straight away in titles such as titanfall 2 and cod. They both seem shaper and have improved IQ.

I'd be happy enough with the exact same games at a higher and more stable frame rate.
Exactly the same. I don't know why people find it so hard to understand. I never expected developers to concentrate on adding extras..

Plus if VR looks better, which surely it will - I'm all the more for it. My pro has been getting lots of 1080P BF1. Been holding off the TV purchase because I keep getting hung up between the KS7000 and KS8000 :o

I have a 2K budget so might go for the 7000 and use the remainder on some half decent speakers :)
