Please check my final build b4 I press buy :0)

time to change the case ;)

Ha ha, have to draw the line somewhere, gone from:-

Looking at SSD > reading bout i5 and waiting one > i5, memory, cooler > then being told best for new PSU > now possible water cool > now case lol, think need to take few steps back cos an initial £139.99 to £350 now over £600......maybe should go back to my xbox lol

well I went from a £400 or so upgrade to a near full blown new system just under £1200(dependent on the rma of my motherboard may need to spend more if its rejected)., only things I'm reusing are the case, hard disk, dvd-rw and psu(got new cpu, mb, ram, cooler, ssd, 2x 6950s, sound card).

Lol some upgrade.....I'm claiming half back from EA for making BF3 eat my machine online, would have never started looking and money burning hole in my pocket without it.

Wonder how much better the H20 is over the Tranquillo. Suppose water v air, will be quite a bit. I'm not really wanting to buy new case as hadn't even planned on PSU (until was pointed out I'm lucky my Hiper Type R 580w has lasted 5 years without popping)

SSD puts my price up, but they sound real great for OS and few main games.
Revision 2 of tranquil is supposed to be altered to allow more room for higher profile memory, but how high, unsure.

If I'd need new case for Watercooling, may be more leaning towards the Tranquillo and G.skill RipJaw or spend £10 more for low profile Corsair Vengence.

Just with both being same price is such a dilemma. Cos Watercooling and Vengence (tall) same as air cooling and Vengance (small).

Always in past have upgraded one component at a time, but now with i5 it's fraping my wallet.....lol

sorry didn't word it correctly, the plan was for a £400 upgrade(i2500k, mothreboard and ram) but in the ended up spending lot more.

I had to get a new monitor as my old one was on the fritz(had held out for 3months or so but it was getting unbearable), got a dell u2711(2560x1440) on which my graphics card(5850) would struggle thus gave into temptation and got 2x 6950s(was wanting to hold out with the 5850 untill the new graphics cards were relesed but couldn't resist :) ).

WOW that's crazy resolution, bet that looks the dogs nuts. I'm gaming 1680x1050 just my C2Duo starting to slowly show it's age as games starting to use quad more. Reading seems the i5 is such a leap prob best to take plunge now rather than wait for the IVY as prices of these setups are better priced....though motherboards and PSU's are pricier now!

Not wanting to go extreme OC but 4.4-4.6 would be nice so that's why choosing different cooler and memory otherwise would save hassle and stock cooler and any memory would do.

Shame there's no virtual build to see what things look like once pieced together to make sure of definate fit.

The low profile Vengence run at 1.35v instead of 1.5 of the normal Vengence or Ripsaw, not sure if that's better or worse, a lot of forums people talk of 1.5v for memory but then these are new so maybe why lower vaults.

Think am talking too much, maybe I should click buy soon before ya fall asleep on me lol

ocuk had the black version of the lp vengence(1.5v) but don't seem to have removed it.

last I looked ther are 3 colours in theh vengence lp jet black, cerilun(sp?) blue and arctic white, the black and blue are 1.5v while the white is 1.35, no lp in the red.

bed time now :)

Ok so after scrambling my brain with intense amount of forum reading and reviews and learning bout timings n Sandybridge and everything else (been out of touch for around 18months since cancelling my Custom PC magazine subscription as was happy with system and wanted to stop being tempted to buy).........

At around 3:30am.........
With a huge thanks to everyone on the Overclockers forums......
I finally decided on.........

The Tranquillo cooler and 2X4GB Kingston Hyper X Genesis Grey :)

Felt that it would be more cost to have to buy a new case just for a roof fan to accommodate a water cooling option and that of I'm wanting onlynaround 4.4-4.6ghz overclock than air should be ok.
Also didn't want to risk the Ripjaws not being able to fit in any slots with the cooler being so big, so opted for something that was low profile. Vengeance were only 1.35v but were 50% (£20) more than the Kingston and looking both had lifetime warranty.
A lot of people seem to be using these and also Overclockers use them in their own overclocked gaming bundles, so they mustn't be that bad.
My main purpose is gaming so timings going from 9-9-9-24 to 9-9-9-27 after reading reviews isn't even 1fps for gaming and don't plan stress/synthetic testing all day!

So a huge thanks to everyone, especially Fowler002 for sticking with me till his eyes could take no more, so nice to be in a forum where people don't flame you for not finding info myself and also give constructive criticism rather than thinking your dum for not picking the most expensive.

Anyways am talking too much again, so thanks, n possibly speak to some again if I do a post later today asking best order of setup when I get my stuff and what to update first, but will do that in a separate thread to put a closure to this one and can be titled different as to possibly help others in same situation.

THANKS :):):)
