Im after something that would allow input for several items e.g reverse camera, gps, etc. It would be an on-going project. I think one of these should be a nice base model to start right?

I thought of that as well but several cars do have a double or large screen in them these days e.g Honda crvs and Murano. An alarm should deter them hopefully.

As for those headunits, apparently the only real downside is the fact that they are basically unbranded OEM units, and as such the UI is very basic and ugly, it's designed to be replaced by a manufactures custom UI.
