Please check this spec for 1440p gaming

Looks OK to me, but do you need 2 SSDs?

Also, you can get the 1tb Sabarent Rocket for £7 less from a well known rainforest site (or grab the 1tb WD NVME or the 940gb Crucial)

Why do you need the DVD drive out of interest? Would a USB one not work as an alternative?

the 250 m2 was for windows and the 1tb ssd for application/games or does this not matter i should just install everything on one drive?

yeah i suppose i dont need a dvd drive anymore ive never really built a computer without a dvd drive incase older software that can only be accessible via cd's

yeah i'll re check those ssd drives for better prices thanks

Yeah DVD drives aren't really needed at all these days. I don't think the case you've picked has any drive bays anyway.

+1 on Sabrent Rocket. :)

Or if you want to get from OCUK look at this:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £109.99 (includes shipping: £0.00)

I'd probably save a few £ and get a 750 w PSU.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £99.95 (includes shipping: £0.00)

Also wait till Black Friday as that memory should go under the £100 mark again.

Looks like a good build though.

i've also actually decided not to go for the corsair hydro series water pump but rather a traditional air cooler.
Which cooler would suffice especially if i decide to do some overclocking for cpu?

thanks

Depends how much you want to spend really. Also check the CPU Cooler Clearance of your case.

The Hydro is a good piece of kit just depends on whether you want to go AIO or air really.

There is no real reason to spend £135 on a cooler, unless you want it for the looks ? I would say go with a cheaper air cooler and spend the savings on something else. Out of the ones above I would take the Scythe Mugen 5 Rev.B.

You could also save money on the board by going with something like an MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX.

That Ram is a bit of a waste of cash imo. You could easily get a kit for half the money. I would go with the Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 3200MHz for £71 and just overclock it with Ryzen Dram calculator. There is cheaper still though like the Team Group Vulcan T-Force for £50 odd.

Used to have 850hx years back, it gave up so I rma'd it, then the replacement gave up 3 months later. Kinda puts me off touching Corsair PSU's for life mate.

My HX850+ is still going, prob 5 years old now

Edit: Also, the HX back then had the same quality components as XFX (IIRC) so they were reliable and worth getting. There will always be bad units here and there so that shouldn't really be the reason you don't suggest them. I'm not keen on the C series due to weak internals, but the HX series are still solid and worth it.

n someone please do a final check on these and tell me what they think for 1440p gaming

should i wait till black friday or buy it now
quote from another post
"That £100 more in 3700X is certainly lot more useful than £100 more in more expensive mobo.
Any properly done X570 board has good enough VRM for coming 16 core 3950X.
Including cheapest of Asus, Prime X570-P and Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite.
(after some scam level VRMs in their B450/X470 AM4 boards)"

whats this about vrm and scam???
